These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the WalkCrowd mobile application ("App") operated by WalkCrowd ("we", "our", or "us"). By using the App, you agree to these Terms.

1. Use of the App

WalkCrowd is a walking and fitness tracking app that helps you track walks, calculate environmental impact, and connect with other walkers. You must be at least 13 years old to use the App.

2. Account

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You agree to provide accurate information when creating your account and to keep it up to date.

3. Subscriptions and Payments

Free Features

Walk tracking, statistics, goals, achievements, challenges, rewards, and social features (friends, groups, leaderboards) are free and always will be.

Chat Subscription

The chat messaging feature requires a paid subscription after your free trial period ends.

• Monthly Plan: $2.99 USD per month
• Yearly Plan: $19.99 USD per year

Free Trial

New users receive a free trial period for the chat feature. No payment is required during the trial.

Billing

• Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google Play account at confirmation of purchase
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
• Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period
• You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your device's account settings

Refunds

Refund requests are handled by Apple (App Store) or Google (Play Store) according to their respective refund policies.

4. User Conduct

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any illegal purpose
• Harass, abuse, or threaten other users through chat or social features
• Send spam or unsolicited messages
• Impersonate other users or entities
• Manipulate walk data or game statistics, achievements, or challenges
• Attempt to access other users' accounts or data
• Reverse engineer or attempt to extract the source code of the App

5. Content

You retain ownership of any content you create (messages, profile information). By using the App, you grant us a license to store and transmit this content as necessary to provide the service.

6. Location Data

The App requires location access to track walks. By enabling location services, you consent to the collection of your location data as described in our Privacy Policy. You can disable location access at any time through your device settings, though this will limit the App's functionality.

7. Health Data

Calorie and fitness data provided by the App are estimates and should not be used as medical advice. Always consult a healthcare professional for health-related decisions.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. Walk distance, calorie, and CO2 calculations are estimates and may not be perfectly accurate.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to personal injury during walks.

Safety Notice: Always be aware of your surroundings while walking. Follow traffic signals, use designated walkways, and do not use the App in a manner that distracts you from potential hazards.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us. Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. We will notify you of significant changes through the App.
